Here's a super early draft of my video featuring audio from the AMC Series, "Better Call Saul". So far, I have really only placed the dialouge and synced it up with the audio, plus done a bit of animation. All of it is currently placeholder animations and graphics to get a general feel. I plan on doing about half of the video and seeing how that words, then going back and doing minor tweaks, increasing the craftsmanship on the vector images, and pulling the video together. While working on the video, I found a few things that may not work so well that were originally in my storyboard, so I may change them, but the general concept remains the same.
I plan on using a few vector images, such as a bell, footprints, headlights, the front of a car, a pen, a dollar, and a belt. The color yellow being used in the background is symbolic of the show. It shows up quite often, and it takes place in New Mexico, which has a primarily yellow flag. The typefaces were chosen based on the characters personalities. Mike, the older man, is much more sensable and wise compared to his drug dealing counterparts, Tuco and Nacho, who share the same typeface to show they're on the same side, but different colors. Tuco's color may be changed, but I'm not quite sure to what just yet. Nacho and Mike's font colors represent their personalities as well as a common color they would actually wear. Mike uses Franklin Gothic Condensed, a nice and refined typeface, and Tuco and Nacho use Acier BAT Text Solid in full capitals, a much stronger and aggressive type.
Now that I have my early draft done, I have the ability to continue and do a lot of experiements with After Effects. I plan on having most of the video done next week, so hopefully I can get some feedback from people.
